Ken Arnold (born Kenneth Ellis Arnold, May 10, 1969) is an American actor, producer, writer, and director. Born and raised in Atco, New Jersey, he stands 6’1” and attended Wagner College, where he majored in Business Administration.
Before pursuing entertainment, Arnold had a nine-year professional baseball career playing in the Chicago Cubs, Baltimore Orioles, and Texas Rangers organizations. While still playing baseball, he began taking acting classes in the off-season, instantly falling in love with the craft. His first role came in the stage production “Weekend Comedy.”
Arnold’s screen career took off with appearances in well-known TV series including Law & Order, Hack, and Army Wives, as well as the TV movie The Pennsylvania Miners’ Story. He went on to appear in films alongside major stars, including the Taylor Lautner action thriller Abduction (2011), Will Smith’s blockbuster sequel Men in Black 3 (2012), and the Sam Rockwell comedy Better Living Through Chemistry (2014). He is also known for his role in the HBO limited series We Own This City.
Beyond acting, Arnold has built a reputation as a multihyphenate filmmaker. He produced, wrote, and directed the indie horror-comedy The Night Watchmen, which screened at forty film festivals, won twenty-five awards, and earned Arnold a best actor prize before receiving worldwide distribution. He followed that with A Comedy of Horrors Volume 1, a horror-comedy anthology he wrote, directed, produced, and starred in.
